Dominik Bek is a jewellery designer and artist based in Prague. He studies at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design as a member of the Studio of Fine arts 1 (ex sculpture). His journey to jewellery design began with his art, which often focused on the theme of the human body and touch shown through sculpture and photography. This interest of Dominik’s then naturally led him to incorporate jewellery in his art and thus begin with designing.

Even though Dominik has a background in fine arts, his jewellery is characterised by an emphasis on practicality. His objective is to create talismans for everyday wear to accompany their owners in life. These talismans take form of geometrical shapes which are bold yet crafted with a soft touch. They complement each other, creating a harmonious balance. The inspiration for said shapes comes from many different sources including flora, fauna and the human body as well as various design branches or scenes from everyday life.
